Summer is here

Summer is here, and with it the heat.  Starting today, every Thursday I will be a the Saratoga Artisan's Market at High Rock Pavilion in Saratoga Springs, NY.  The heat determines when dipping will be done.  If the studio is over 80 degrees I cannot make candles.  If you are interested, please contact me in advance at 518-798-1800.

Summer is also the time for citronella candles!  I plan to start making them in the coming weeks in a variety of containers.  More on that in future posts.

Everyone, stay safe out there!  Drink lots of water, put on sun screen, and enjoy  the beautiful sunny weather!

It has been a busy spring here at Adirondack Chandler!  I went to several shows which were very successful.  That gave me more work to complete, and unfortunately, meant the blog was placed in the "to do" pile.  But, I am almost caught up, and want to apologize for not posting something sooner.

I plan to do at least two dips per week.  During the warmer weather, I usually try to do the dipping in the morning, before the studio begins to heat up.  I usually plan to do dips on Tuesday and Thursday, but may have to adjust as I will be attending the Saratoga Artisans and Crafters Market every Thursday from 10-4 beginning June 21.   Check out their Facebook page by following this link - https://www.facebook.com/SaratogaArtisansAndCraftersMarket.  It looks like a great place to visit!

In personal news, my beautiful granddaughter will turn one year old tomorrow.  It doesn't seem possible!  She is also one of the reasons I love summertime, as her mother works in the School system and has the summer off.  It gives me more opportunity to see this little one!

I will be doing dips next Tuesday and Thursday. Right now the plan is to do Balsam on Tuesday, and Unscented Red on Thursday, but this is subject to change if the need arises.  I also hope to get some Citronella candles made in the coming weeks as the "buggy season" is also upon us!

Enjoy the sunshine and summer weather.  We have a short season, so enjoy it!  I plan to get in my kayak as much as possible and soak up some sunshine, get in some fishing, and do a little camping, in between visits with my granddaughter and family of course!
