Holiday Hours

Adirondack Chandler has been very busy making candles for the holiday season.

If you want your True Bayberry candles to burn either Christmas or New Year's Eve to bring you prosperity for the coming year, you still have time!

BUT, please note our holiday schedule:

Sunday, Dec 19 & Monday Dec 20 -- CLOSED

Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday,
Dec 21 - 23 -- Open normal hours, 9:00-11:30/1:30-4:00

CLOSED CHRISTMAS EVE, December 24 - January 2 as we celebrate the holiday season with friends and family.

Re-Opening January 3 with regular hours - Monday - Friday - 9:00-11:30/ 1:30-4:00 or by chance. Please call 518-798-1800 if you are planning to come other hours to see if we will be here.

REMEMBER - If the lights are on, we are here. Come in even if the door is closed -- the heat is on and we are trying to conserve our energy costs. THANK YOU!

Open House

We are doing it again! Come to the Open House at the Shirt Factory, 21 Cooper Street, Glens Falls, NY this weekend, Dec 11 & 12, from 10-5 .

We have been getting ready for the Open House, shipping out Christmas orders, and making candles this entire month. Come to the Open House and receive a free luminary (while supplies last). We are located in the Garden Level of the Shirt Factory.... just look for the lights around the doorway and come on in. You won't be disappointed!

Tomorrow, Sunday November 28, will be the final day of the November Open House. Make sure to come and check out all the vendors and studios at the Shirt Factory between 10-5. Today was an AWESOME day..... support your small business day was a great success!

Thanksgiving Week

Adirondack Chandler will be open Tuesday from 9-4, Wednesday we will be open 9-12, and then closing for the remainder of the day in preparation for Thanksgiving. We will be closed on Thanksgiving day, but open on Friday in the afternoon. Make sure to come to the Open House from 5-8 on Friday, November 26 and to come to the Open House Saturday & Sunday from 10-5.

Free candle to all who visit the Garden Level and Adirondack Chandler (while supplies last) during the Open House Saturday and Sunday.

Get ready for the Holidays!

Adirondack Chandler is closed on Monday, but open Tues - Fri 9-11:30/ 1:30-4:00, but if you are in the Shirt Factory, come and see if we are open. With the holidays fast approaching, we are working lots of hours. Usually we say we are closed 11:30-1:30, but it depends on how many errands we have to run at lunch time. Sometimes we are there during this time, and later than 4:00. So... if you are in the building stop on in!!!

We have lots of candles, including elegant, yet rustic taper candles in Paraffin, as well as True Bayberry (a traditional Christmas Candles since Colonial Times), Beeswax, and Palm Wax. We also have tea lights and votives in the above waxes as well as Soy wax.

Candles make great gifts and are a must for the Holiday Table. We don't have any dips scheduled at this time, but check back as that can change!

Saturday Shopping

Adirondack Chandler will be open 10-4 Saturday during November and December. We have elegant, rustic candles that will look great on your Thanksgiving and Christmas table and make great holiday gifts. These candles are smokeless, drip-less and will brighten your holidays.

Make sure to come to our Open Houses. November 26 is the Open House Preview from 5-8, and open 10-5 Saturday & Sunday, November 27 & 28.

Our second Open House is Saturday, December 11 and Sunday, December 12, 10-5.

The entire Shirt Factory will be open with many artists, studios, demonstrations, vendors in the hallways, and a raffle for a Shirt Factory Artisans Gift Basket. Don't miss it!

New Hours

Adirondack Chandler will be closed on Monday, and open Tues - Friday, 9-11:30/ 1:30-4 and Saturday 10-4. Stop on in and get your candles for your Thanksgiving table, and for all your Christmas needs. Candles make great gifts! We also have seasonal Reed Diffusers, including Pumpkin Pie for Thanksgiving, and Balsam, Hollyberry and Cinnamon for Christmas.

Week of October 4 Dipping Schedule:

Dipping is usually from approximately 1:15-3:30.

The colder weather means that the door to the studio is most likely closed, but please feel free to open the door and come in! We have a nice selection of Halloween candles and holders as well as Christmas items.

We will be closed the week of October 17 as we will be out of town.

November we will be open Saturdays, except for the first weekend, November 6 & 7, when we are at LARAC festival at the dome.

Candles will help make these dreary fall months seem brighter, so STOP ON IN!

Fall is finally here and we can go back to a normal schedule.

We will usually make candles on Tuesday and Thursday afternoon. The schedule for the week of September 20 is:

Week of Sept 7

Even though it is technically still summer, the summer season is officially over after Labor Day. Hopefully September will bring cooler temperatures which will enable me to make candles. Will be dipping storm candles Wednesday Sept 8, and deciding what to do for the rest of the week to post later.

Hopefully will get back on a regular Tuesday, Thursday schedule once our weather is less than 80 regularly. However, my 82 year old Mom has had a heart attack and as a result fell and broke her wrist. She is currently in the hospital, and it might interfere with my schedule once we know more about what it going on with her. Will post any schedule changes.

More Heat

Well, with the heat this week there will be no dipping the last week of August. Everyone have a great Labor Day weekend. We will be closed Labor Day, and opening again on Tuesday with hopefully more conducive candle making weather!

Sick Day

Today, Friday August 27, need to take a day off due to illness. Hopefully all will be well for Monday.

Back to reality

It is hard to believe it is the 25th of August already! Back from vacation and trying to get organized and back to working. Yesterday I made storm candles, and today I am making unscented white. Hopefully, if things go well, tomorrow I will make Bayberry to make up for the batch I abandoned before vacation after I realized I had made a mistake with the color and it was also getting too hot to continue.

Trying to get ready for Halloween and the other upcoming holidays. Open Monday-Friday, 9-4 Feel free to stop on in and check out our smokeless, drip-less, slow-burning candles.

Week of August 9

On Monday I plan to make a new scent. I will be dipping Pumpkin Pie tapers in the afternoon. The week up coming looks like it may not be conducive to making candles due to heat, but we are going to try! We will decide daily whether or not to make candles and will post it as plans are made.

Adirondack Chandler will be closed the week of August 15 for vacation.

August 3, 2010

Today I am planning to do an unscented, navy dip. I have already been to the studio to put a fan in the window to cool it off. Yesterday I did a balsam dip and it worked quite well.

Remember, the studio is closed Thursday, August 5 as well as the week of August 15!

August

Today, August 2, making Balsam candles in the afternoon. Have to take the cooler days when they come!! Hopeful for more dipping during the week. It is decided on a day by day basis, determined by the weather forecast.

Adirondack Chandler is usually open Monday - Friday 9:00- 11:30 and 1:30-4:00 (possibly being closed for lunch as early as 11:30 or as late as 1:30 for lunch/errands depending on the day).

For the week of August 2, Adk Chandler is closed on Thursday, August 5 as we will be out of town.

Also, we will be closed the entire week of August 15.

Cooler temperatures mean we can do a dip today. This afternoon is Cinnamon!

Next Thursday, August 5, Adirondack Chandler will be closed, as well as the week of August 14-22. Enjoying some of our great weather before the holiday season rush starts!

Heat and Candles

I am back from my week off to care for my daughter as she recovered from surgery. I need to make more candles, but with this heat it is difficult to plan and make the candles. If the studio is above 80 degrees, it affects quality. As a result I will not be following normal Tuesday/ Thursday dip schedule. But, I am still at the studio doing other things than dipping candles, so feel free to stop by!

Hot!

With the heat index in the 90s, we will see how hot the studio gets. If it is over 80 in the studio there will be no dipping this week. Summer time is here!

Off next week to go to my daughter's house as she is having surgery.
